Dr. Gautam Das is a Neurologist based in West Bengal, currently practising at the North 24 Parganas District Hospital in Barasat and the Narayana Superspeciality Hospital in Madhyamgram, Barasat. He specialises in dementia, nerve/muscle problems, epilepsy and movement disorders.

Dr. Gautam Das is keenly interested in stroke and its treatment. He has to his name three international publications and three national publications. In addition to acquiring the MBBS, DPM and MD (Medicine) degrees, Dr. Gautam Das also obtained the postdoctoral, superspeciality DM degree in Neurology from NRS Medical College in Kolkata. Dr. Das is a Fellow of the Indian Psychiatric Society. His extra-curricular activities included table tennis and cricket during his academic days. Now, he counts travelling and reading as his favourite leisure pastimes.
